Canephora

Definition

Caffea canephora is the scientific name for Robusta coffee. It is thought to have originated in central and western sub-Saharan Africa, in parts of present day Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is generally more resistant to disease than Arabica Coffee (coffea arabica) but generally produces a lower quality cup.
