This text applies to the Coffee Dictionary website, mobile applications, and related services (events, community area, content sharing, etc.). By using the service or creating an account, you accept this text.
1) Definitions
Service: Coffee Dictionary website, mobile applications, APIs, content and all related features.
User / You: The person using the Service.
Content: Terms, descriptions, images, comments, shares, links and all data uploaded/created by the user.
Community Area: Discussion, sharing and interaction features.
Events: Event content listed, announced or managed through the Service.
2) Acceptance and Eligibility
2.1. Agreement Confirmation: You must approve this text (Agreement ID: 1) when creating an account.
2.2. Age: If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the permission of your parent/guardian.
2.3. Compliance with Rules: By using the Service, you agree to comply with applicable laws and this text.
3) Scope of Service and Changes
3.1. The Service may offer features such as multilingual coffee terms, discovery/index, featured terms, future events and community area.
3.2. We may always change, suspend or add new features to the Service or its features.
3.3. If we update this text, we will publish the new version; we may provide reasonable notice for significant changes.
4) Account, Login and Security
4.1. Login method: Email + one-time verification code (OTP).
4.2. Uniqueness: Email and username/nickname must be unique. If not appropriate, we may show a general warning such as "Email or username is not available" (we may not specify which one).
4.3. Account security: It is your responsibility to protect access to your account. If you see a suspicious situation, please contact us.
4.4. Suspension / closure: We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account in case of security, abuse, illegality or violation of this text.
5) Prohibited Uses
The following are prohibited:
- Sharing illegal content, hate speech, harassment, threats, pornographic content, incitement to violence.
- Spam, phishing, malware, excessive requests with automation (scraping) and damaging the system.
- Unauthorized sharing of others' personal data.
- Reverse engineering the Service, exploiting security vulnerabilities.
- Infringing copyright/trademark rights.
6) Content, Intellectual Property and License
6.1. Platform content: The interface, design, brands and compiled content of Coffee Dictionary belong to us or our licensors.
6.2. User content: You own the rights to content you share/upload in the community area or your profile; however, you grant us a worldwide, free, sublicensable, transferable use license (hosting, reproduction, processing, display, distribution; only for the operation and promotion of the service).
6.3. Copyright complaint: You can contact info@coffeedictionary.com for copyright infringement notices. We may remove content in case of copyright infringement.
7) Community Area and Moderation
7.1. When the community area is opened, you are responsible for your shares.
7.2. We may remove content that violates community rules, warn, restrict or ban users.
7.3. Moderation decisions are for security and community health purposes; we may not be required to share detailed justification in every case.
8) Events
8.1. Event content may be for informational purposes. Date, location, capacity, tickets, etc. may be managed by third parties.
8.2. Risks and liabilities arising from event participation (health, transportation, cancellation, etc.) are the responsibility of the relevant organizer/participant.
9) Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
9.1. The Service is provided "as is". It is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free or always accessible.
9.2. Content is for general information purposes; not professional advice.
9.3. To the extent permitted by law; our liability is limited for indirect damages, loss of profit, data loss, etc.
9.4. Cases that cannot be limited by law such as gross negligence/intent are reserved.
10) Privacy Policy (GDPR Compliant Framework)
10.1 Data We Collect
Account information: email, nickname, user category (coffee_lover / home_brewer / coffee_professional), preferred language.
Profile: avatar/profile image (optional).
Security/session: login attempts, timestamps, token/session information, IP and device/request logs (for security purposes).
Community/Events (future): your shares, comments, event participation data (when feature is opened).
10.2 Purposes
Account creation and authentication (login with OTP)
Running the service, personalization (language preference)
Security, abuse prevention, debugging and logging
Fulfillment of legal obligations
(Optional) Product improvement/analytics (if used, will be specified separately)
10.3 Legal Bases
Performance of contract (account and service provision)
Legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, service quality)
Explicit consent (when required; e.g., marketing email)
Legal obligation (retention/notification obligations)
10.4 Retention Periods
Account data: As long as your account is active + reasonable period (for legal obligations and disputes).
Security logs: Reasonable period (e.g., 6–24 months) or as required by law.
Deletion request: Applied subject to legal obligations.
10.5 Data Sharing and Transfer
Infrastructure providers: Sharing may be made with suppliers such as hosting, database, email sending, file storage (e.g., Google Cloud / CDN) only to provide the service.
Transfer abroad: Our server/storage may be abroad. Necessary protections (contractual measures, security measures) are applied within the scope of GDPR.
10.6 Your Rights

10.7 Security
We implement technical/organizational measures to protect your data (access control, encryption, logging, rate limiting, etc.). However, 100% security cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the internet.
11) Cookie Policy
11.1. Cookies may be used for session management and security on the web (e.g., HttpOnly session cookies).
11.2. If analytics/third-party cookies are used, separate information and, if necessary, a consent mechanism will be provided.
12) Account Deletion
12.1. You can delete your account from within the application. Deletion may be "soft delete"; legal obligations are reserved.
12.2. Your community shares (in the future) may be anonymized or removed; platform integrity and legal requirements are taken into account.
13) Disputes, Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
13.1. This text is interpreted in accordance with the laws of [Republic of Turkey].
