UTZ

UTZ: A globally recognized sustainability certification program and label for agricultural products—primarily coffee, cocoa, and tea—founded on sustainable farming practices, environmental protection, and fair working conditions. The UTZ standard focuses on traceability, enabling supply chain transparency from farm to consumer while empowering farmers to improve their yields, social conditions, and business management. Operating independently for years, UTZ ultimately merged with the Rainforest Alliance in 2018–2019 to form a unified certification program.
